PRN harnesses the latest technology advancements, including real-time events and
a guarantee of image delivery, to ensure the highest degree of security, safety,
and reliability in the exchange of patient information between providers.
How It Works
- Any diagnostic test such as a fundus photograph can be sent from a primary care physician to a specialist for review using the PRN network.
A cloud-based infrastructure hosts the PRN services.
- Patient demographic and insurance information are sent along with the image(s) for
incorporation into the specialist’s records and for billing purposes.
- The specialist receives notification of a referral review request via text message and/or email
notification. The specialist reviews the image(s) and can easily record a initial impression diagnosis
and recommend a course of action for the patient. Through the cloud, a secure transmission
of the specialist review is sent to the primary care physician. The image(s), referral review
request, specialist review and interpretation letter are stored on the PRN
network for future reference.
- PRN is 100% HIPAA compliant and encrypts all database data using AES, with a 256 bit key.
